Chickpeas have a firm texture and mild, nutty flavour. They are a staple in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Indian cooking.
In Italian cooking they are used for pasta dishes and in soups, salads and stews.
In Middle Eastern cuisine they are used for hummus and falafel and are featured in Moroccan couscous and tagines.
Because they readily absorb other flavours, spices or seasonings, they are widely used in Indian spiced stews.
We make our chickpeas in Italy using selected chickpeas that we rehydrate and pack in water with no additives.
