Coppola Piennolo del Vesuvio Cherry Tomatoes (12x400g):
Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio D.O.P.” is grown in the region of Campania, in Italy, on the foothills of Mount Vesuvious, which is known for its fertile volcanic soil.
Piennolo tomatoes have a distinctive oval shape with a point at the bottom. They have bright red colour, thick skin, dense texture with low water content, making their flavour and aroma stronger over time.
They are perfect for your very special pasta sauce, gourmet pizza, or baked in the oven.
In addition, Coppola Piennolo del Vesuvio Cherry Tomatoes (12x400g) have PDO (protected designation of origin) certification.
Our tomatoes are:
- with no sugar, sweeteners, artificial flavors, thickeners, or firming agents.
- packed in easy-open, white lacquered, BPA free lining tinned cans.
Good to know: Piennolo means “hanging” in the Neapolitan language, because they are traditionally hanged in larger clusters for a long time.
